Yeah, right now the punishment for being reported isn't effective at all in deterring afking, feeding, etc. Something really needs to change.
The fact that you only lose 3 points is way too lenient considering:
- You start off with 100
- Weekly final score
- You get 14 points weekly just from logging in
- You get 1 point for every game you finish.
- Punishment thresholds are too low, and the punishment itself isn't intimidating.
At 89 credit score, you only lose the 'chance' to earn battle points which isn't really a loss at all, and only at 69 credit score do you lose the right to participate in ranked matches. Waayy too lenient.
The right to participate in ranked matches should be lost more easily, and harder to earn back.
I see a few ways to do this:
1. Drastically increase amount of credit score deducted, ceteris paribus (-10 points for every verified report or system-detected afk would make people think twice)
2. Thresholds should be moved up (Instead of 89, should be 95. Instead of 69, should be 90)
3. Right to participate in ranked matches should be conditional upon performance once you lose it. For example, you need to win 10 match up games to play ranked mode if you've been banned from it.
As things are now though, the only way to avoid them is to team up with friends. |
