I dunno, people just like to use it even though it's just a slang synonym of "newbie". Question: Would it still be toxic if people started using other words with literal specific meanings such as "dumb" to call out others?

Noob is a word used by gamers to show how weak or kuranngnya skill in playing the game, both in the agility of playing games but also knowledge of the game. People can be said to be noob if they feel they can be overcome and finally criticized by the more expert. Usually noob people behave irritated when told, therefore noob people need to learn to be more expert.
