you should buy Gusion. Valir maybe hmmm, must use right build to win. Harley and Helcurt getting nerf already/soon.

If you are new to assassin role, i dont recommend you to take gusion or helcurt. If you want to learn assassin you can buy karina, she is a good stepping stone for anyone learning assassin. While gussion and helcurt offer much more, they are somewhat team reliant (especially helcurt) and require you to at least understand how to play assassin (when to go in team fight, choosing your target,etc)

as for the mage, i myself prefer harley (still dont like his character design tho, dunno why )

Harley - easy to play, great poke and burst. He's a pseudo-Assassin basically tbh
Gusion - devastating when mastered, easy food when not. So be ready to invest time in him.
Valir - Never tried. But from videos I've seen, he's a pretty straightforward high damage AOE burst/CC Mage, and not worth 32K since Aurora is cheaper and provides AOE CC and bursts.
Helcurt - Never tried.

I'd presonally recommend Harley, if you play him well (which isn't hard to do, since he's pretty easy to use) you'll never die during the duration of the match as his 2nd skill has very low CD and is one of the best escape ability. Just note that he shouldn't be played as your typical mage.

I wouldn't recommend Gusion. He's very OP so most likely is getting nerfed soon and in the next update the draft system will have 4 bans so he's almost guaranteed to be one of them. No point in using a hero who's a top pick for ban.

I BOUGHT GUSION AND STARTING TO MASTER HIM AND LOVING HOW I IMPROVE AVERY GAME. THO HE'S HARD TO USE BUT HES VERY FUN!

Do not get Valir he is outclassed by any mage. In anything. Probably Helcurt to reducw the amount of Fannies flying.
