There are currently two stage difficulty in ai mode
Simple and normal. You can see the tab on top left corner in the lobby. You can try mormal. Or you are suggesting to add hard difficulty there?

People would use it for easy fast gold farm, and I also played vs AI for this reason to accumulate 7500 bp in 45 minutes
Bots are not developed enough to convey player-like moves so I don't believe devs can make the AI mode harder
Well if they can't strengthen the bots then lets weaken the players, it should give the desired effect

This is why some practices are held in classics and it makes the match a waste.

Well, AI and Custom mode is really easy... plus queue in more difficult mode in AI is too long so no thanks. I hope they can somehow enhance it so it will be more challenging. Yup.
