Odette

Odette’s Combo: S2S1S3A or S2S3AS1A
(S = Skill, A = Attack)

Passive: Lakeshore Ambience
After casting a skill, Odette’s next basic attack or skill will also cast a sound wave that rebounds between enemies, dealing 144-200(+50% total magic power) points of Magic Damage.
Odette’s passive can be very useful, it can also
rebound between the enemy and the turret. It can also be used to see if there is any enemy hiding in the bush, as you use it on an enemy entering a bush.

First Skill: Avian Authority
Odette concentrates energy to summon a swan to attack enemies, dealing 250(+150% total magic power) Magic Damage and slowing them by 70%. Lasts 2s
Odette’s first skill can slow down an enemy by 70% for 2 seconds. It can help slowing down enemies when she use her ultimate. (When using the S2S1S3A combo)

Second Skill: Blue Nova
Odette fires a magic energy ball forward, dealing damage and immobilizing them for 2s. After the ball has reached either its max range or hit a target, two extra energy ball will strike out to the sides, dealing 250(+50%Total Magic Power) points of Magic Damage and immobilizing them for 2s
Odette’s second skill could help (but not advised to do) if you use it on a nearby bush, in case if you suspect an enemy is hiding in a bush. This move helps to keep enemies in place when she is using her ultimate, dealing all the damage. You’d also need to be wise on aiming the skill because many heroes with low durability will avoid getting near Odette. Since, her second skill can also strike out two extra energy balls, you can try to use some range and measurements to see if you can make her second skill hit the target.

Ultimate: Swan Song
Odette gathers energy and deals Continuous Damage to enemies within the area. Deals 240(+120%Total Magic Power) points of Magic Damage to enemies every 0.5s. Lasts 5s. The field also enhances rebounding speed and number of rebounds of Lakeshore Ambience. Reduces damage taken by 50% while active. Slows enemies by 90%, which decays over time. Lasts 2s.
Odette’s ultimate can deal ranging 500 to 1500 damage per 0.5 second, depending on the build and emblem you use. This would be nice if you used the combo S2S3AS1A, because you want to make sure you enemies deal enough damage before they attempt to flee out of your ultimate.

Emblem: Custom Mage Emblem (preferred)
Preferred Talent Page: Flow x3 and Observation x3 (Odette has to have Magic Attack and Magic Penetration, because it would be helpful if she can focus on Magic Attack and Magic Penetration, since she is a mage.)
Talent: Magic Worship
I personally think she would need this because along with glowing wand, it can help her deal more “aftermath” damage.

Battle Spell: Flicker
You can use Flicker to escape an nearby enemy if you had already used your ultimate or you can use it on an enemy who is out of your ultimate’s range.

Odette Build:
Demon Shoes, Glowing Wand, Lightning Truncheon, Clock of Destiny, Divine Glaive, and Blood Wings
Explanation:
Odette requires Demon Shoes because it helps her with Mana because her Mana usage is pretty high, it would be unnecessary to get Enchanted Talisman because it doesn’t give her damage. Glowing Wand, now this is pretty useful considering it burns target for three seconds. If you happened not being able to kill your enemy with your ultimate, you can be rest-assured that (if the enemy doesn’t have any shield) they would die if the second they try to flee, or if they’re just too tanky to be killed. Lightning Truncheon is also a pretty useful equipment for Odette, since it also gives a pretty high magic attack. Clock of Destiny, now this is useful for her in pre-game. If you can focus on Clock of Destiny’s unique passive, I believe you could understand why Odette might need this. After 300 seconds (stacks up 10 times, each stack gives 30 HP and 5 magic attack) it would give 300 HP and 50 magic attack, also once it reachs 10 stacks, it gives an extra 5% magic attack and 300 Mana. I usually prefer those two to equipments to be together, because Lightning Truncheon’s unique passive can deal extra magic damage every six second for the skill casted that scales with her max mana. I think Divine Glaive would be perfect for Odette because as she is casting her skill, she really needs the magic penetration in order to kill tanker enemies, otherwise, she wouldn’t be dealing enough damage like the BURST hero she is. Blood Wings, exactly what every mage hero might use as their last equipment. Blood Wings can help with her survivability, since it would give her more HP. Blood Wings is also a big source of Magic Power for mage heroes.

PROs: Can easily kill heroes with low durability, like marksmans. Pretty easy to learn how to use her.
CONs: She needs a tank to help her, which you don’t really see anyone use tank that much in matches. Her ultimate can be easily stopped with anyone that has a crowd control move. She can die off very quickly.

How to use Odette:
Odette can’t do anything much until she’s level 4, she’s one of those heroes who requires her ultimate in order to play. Odette’s ultimate can be stopped if she was controlled with a crowd control move, so it’d be best if there was a tank that would take all of the attacks first. Odette must hide in a bush, waiting for an enemy that’s nearby, and use her skills to the nearby enemy. In a team fight, you have to be extra careful of any enemies trying to stop you from using your ultimate. Preferrably, stand nearby a tank that can take the CC skill for you.

Advice:
Try to use her second skill, Blue Nova, on a nearby marksman/mage/assassin/fighter. Try not to use Blue Nova on a tank because it is about 5-10 seconds long.
She shouldn’t be trying to attack the tank because her skills can cause a very significant amount of damage in a short period of time to a less tanky enemy.
Use flicker if an enemy was trying to escape her ultimate’s range.

Counters: Wanwan, Irithel
I say that Wanwan can be countered by Odette because Wanwan can not stand in Odette’s ultimate and attack since it would be very likely that Wanwan would die without being able to counter-attack. In my vision, Wanwan would not be able to endure Odette’s ultimate. With Wanwan having no CC skills, I think it’s hardly unlikely Wanwan might be able to get away from Odette after stepping in Odette’s ultimate. Irithel might be countered by Odette, but might also not be. This scenario varies if the Irithel is playing carefully or no not. Odette can use her ultimate and Irithel couldn’t be able to fight back, or if she had already used her ultimate on an another hero, whilist, Irithel can attack Odette with her ultimate.

Best if paired up with: Johnson and Minotaur.
Reason: Many MM will avoid getting near Odette. With Crowd Control heroes like Johnson and Minotaur can help Odette get enough time to use her ultimate to finish off any marksmans.

Countered by: Akai, Khufra, Gatotkaca, Johnson, and Minotaur
Reason: Each of these heroes have crowd control skills that can effectively prevent Odette from using her ultimate when she is casting it.

This is a revision of the guide I made on Reddit, hope you guys would learn how to use Odette with this guide.

may i say something about this:

Odette's passive is AMAZING for poking. Everytime you use a skill your next basic attacks pops over between enemies for extra damage. You start with your secondary skill. auto-hit with farming and using the skill to poke your enemy out of lane until level 4. You can easily be the most anonying poker in the team

You don’t use your second skill first when you’re level 1. And it doesn’t pop over to enemies unless they’re near it. I’m so confused by what you’re trying to say with auto-hit with farming. Odette does not farm? You leave that up to assassin and marksman and jungler. And there are cases where Odette is unable to get enemies out of lane even with her skills because (hopefully you’ve been in Legend or Mythic rank) Tanks might follow the mage and when enemy tank follow enemy mage, Odette can’t push tank out of the lane. Although, she is able to push enemy out of the lane if they are only one person. But there are some heroes that can also push Odette out of lane like Kagura and Nana.
