I believe Magic Chess would be more likely the least possible new game mode that is permanent next to Survival. I too is a fan of Chess-TD and not Magic Chess. You can always suggest this and send a feedback regarding the game mode via customer service in-game c:

It could come in future but i think it got changed by better version (Magic Chess), but i would like to see it in future maybe in some limited time. Thanks for suggestion.

well, remember frenzy mode??
I think i played it once and it dissapeared. There are some achievments there I didnt get. And my favorite is survival but it seems to be gone as well.

Yeah....frenzy mode is forgotten...played a long time ago...they should also bring it back time to time
