[Item Balance] Hit Duration Reduction?

Hi Everyone, Today i have a Item Concept, have a new effect in the Battlefield.

The new effect is Named Hit Duration Reduction, How it work?

An simple example, Odette's Ultimate.

Odette's Ultimate hit the Enemies every 0.5s, When get 40% Hit Duration Reduction, Odette's Ultimate will hit Every 0.2s.
Hit Duration Reduction are working to Reduce the Hits Duration of the skills.
Ok maybe someone will say it's will be Unbalance, but let's check the Item.

Item Named: Abyssal Cristal

Give you:
5% Movement Speed

Passive: Chaos Time

After buying the item, you can Choose an skill to convert the Cooldown Reduction of the skill to Hit Duration Reduction.

(Hit Duration Reduction% = Cooldown Reduction%)

As well, the choosing skill cannot effected by CD Reduction, but will have Extra Effect, that can Trigger Basic ATK Effects.


So, what you think about my concept?

How it affect the game? Lets calculate.

dps = (skill dmg)/(cd)
for 40% cdr, skill's new cd is 0.6 of its original cd:
new dps = (skill dmg)/(0.6cd) = (1/0.6)(skill dmg)/(cd) = 1.67dps,
which means you successful boost your damage by 67%, skill damage does not increase for the duration so damage output is continuous damage

for your idea, hit duration reduction (hdr)
dps = n*dmg, where n is number of damage per second; time of each damage = 1/n
for 40% hdr, new hit time is 0.6 of original hit time: (1/n)*0,6 = 0.6/n;
number of damage per second = n/0.6 = 1.67n
new dps = 1.67n*dmg = 1.67dps,
which means you successful boost your damage by 67%, skill damage increase during the skill duration so damage output is burst damage.

Your hdr concept does not affect the game balancing, in fact, you successfully change those channeling skill to burst damage, which mean those channeling skills (with exception of Alice) will have some good use with hdr concept.

Nice item concept. It will be a boon for mage users including hylos, guinevere. Adding the item will make it necessary to add a magic defence item too, or it might be difficult to counter the dmg. Anyway, ty for the suggestion. Support from me.
