[Gameplay] Experience Lane needs a serious boost

I'm not sure if it's the recent patches, but I've noticed that the Experience Lane is significantly lacking in it's perk component.
In most games I'm playing the jungler will be level 4 while I'm only 3 to 3 and a half. This is after claiming every minion with most last hits in exp lane.

I then look at Gold Lane and was confused why they are similar level at that point in the game.

So I did a test in custom.

It takes 4 waves of minions to reach level 4 and a half, earning 1300 gold in the experience lane.

It takes 4 waves of gold lane to reach level 4 and one quarter, earning 1500 gold in the gold lane.

So going gold lane will yield more gold, and give similar experience. This begs the question: what's the point in the exp lane currently?

Experience lane needs a considerable boost in experience gain to be competitive.

Edit:

Experience lane
Wave 1: level 2 and 1/4. 515 gold.
Wave 2: level 3. 742 gold.
Wave 3: level 3 and 3/4. 1034 gold.
Wave 4: level 4 and a half. 1294 gold.

Gold lane
Wave 1: level 2 and 1/4. 541 gold.
Wave 2: level 2 and 7/8ths. 882 gold.
Wave 3: level 3 and 3/4. 1194 gold
Wave 4: level 4 and 1/4 . 1508 gold

Jungle
1 minute 30 seconds to reach level 4 and earn 1038 gold

I have 2 questions.

1) What about mid lane? Its might be even worse position, because have no any other bonus, right?

2) You compare with Balmond jungle, right? Isnt Balmond kill minions much faster than most other junglers?

I mean, in my matchs, is common situation, somewhere jungle take a 4 level frist, but always have less gold from minions than gold and exp. And when it has more, case was is gank and kills.

1) yes Mid lane lacks either perk, after a test my character does get up to level 4 and a quarter earning 1300 gold after 4th wave. I don't actually have much experience to test mid lane, though my guess is as mentioned previously it's easier to rotate to either lane as mid than top or bottom

2) hero choice is irrelevant as long as the same emblems and hero were used for the test. I chose Balmond because he has self heals, is a starter hero and is easier to gauge when clearing all minions and jungle as fighter / assassins are great for clearing waves in timely fashion. I could use a mage but I'd be sitting there for days and it doesn't give accurate results as mages don't usually jungle.

At the one minute 30 mark my jungle was level 4 and at 1038 gold. This actually means jungle gets more gold and levels faster than the exp lane, and just shy of 200 gold from gold lane.

I think instead they should reduce the cap on gold lane. The level growth is pretty steady right now so boosting it more can change alot of it. Whenever I exp lane, I try to rotate more often so there are times I miss some minions but however If we get kills it compensates enough for the loss.

I also agree with this, gold and experience lanes are my most played ones. I believe the 15% boost is quite decent and enough. hope it will happen

I think so too, I think 15% boost is good enough, not a lot to level up crazily fast. But mind you, EXP gain increases more than the previous wave, so there will be a bit more adjustment.

Hmm kinda agree with you on this. According to your test it does definitely need a boost, Maybe make upto lvl 5 after 4 minion waves will be better, since its an exp lane.

15-25% boost would perhaps do the trick.

Also for the first 5 minutes the crab could possibly give experience per tick instead of gold in the EXP lane (exp lane could have a bear instead of a crab, maybe? )

Yes some heroes dominate with abilities so you want to adjust to ensure they're not twice the level of everyone else, but at the same time you actually benefit from the lane.

The two ways to do this is nerf all other exp generators for 5 minutes until turret shield is gone, or boost exp lane so 4th wave will be level 5 as seimz said

The thing is if all avenues of experience gain are similar  (Top, Mid, Jg, Exp) and you have to rotate into jungle (effectively diminishing your teams jg gold / levelling capacity) then something is wrong.

The purpose of exp lane is to take advantage of levelling faster without outside sources contributing.

As posted, jungle can reach level four 30 seconds before experience lane does, and both experience and gold lanes reach level four at the same time. Additionally, gold lane gets an extra 200-300 gold.

Experience lane is currently gimped
